Open a link and something in your phone wakes up. It sees, hears and feels through the sensors that were always there. The more it feels, the more it wants to move. That is what a GrowBot is: a creature you raise from screen to legs.
Try it with just your phone to see what a physical AI is like.

This system uses the phone as general I/O for AI models to interface with the world. The phone's sensors act as a nervous system for the models, and those models can reach back through the phone to control real motors and actuators. You can add more sensor inputs as needed. This lets the phone act as a general robotics platform. What makes it special is that it's neural networks all the way down: the body moves with trained neural networks (reinforcement learning), not pre-scripted behaviours, and the LLM can both control those networks and author new ones over them.
A GrowBot starts with just two motors, but you are not capped there. Add as many motors, servos and sensors as you want and the phone drives all of it.
Where this all started:
I'll be making both ready-made bodies your phone snaps into (legs, battery, a small brain board, and pre-trained neural networks) and DIY instructions so you can build your own. Both are coming soon. Join the list and I'll let you know.
